Magazine. "In Search of Belle Epoque Paris," appeared on November 7, 1999 in the Travel Section
of The New York Times.
Essays: Essays have been published in Chicago Tribune, The Baltimore Sun,
Gannett Suburban Newspapers, Newsday, The Peekskill Herald and Writer's Digest.
Fiction
Woman in Flames, a novel completed in 1997.
Set in Bengal, India, in 1905, it is the story of a passionate
young woman who loses her husband, her beauty and her identity and is forced to reinvent herself
in the face of two obstacles: a rigid society that has rejected her and an obsessed pursuer
determined to destroy her.
Jewelsong, a novel-in-progress set in Paris in 1911,
is the sequel to "Woman in Flames." Its two main characters are a Muslim prince from East Bengal
and a Scottish opera diva.
